Christine J. (Heroux) Kemp, 52, of New Bedford died June 4, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of Dolores (Pelletier) Heroux and the late Wilfred Heroux, she lived in Plymouth before returning to New Bedford.
She was formerly employed as a security guard at United Parcel Service and an a nurse.
She enjoyed writing, music and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Ashley Resendes-Heroux of Fall River; 3 sons, Shane Resendes-Heroux of Fall River, Craig Kemp, Jr. of Falmouth and Casey Kemp and his wife Hannah of Olathe, KS; 3 brothers, Kenneth Heroux of Danville, VA, Craig Heroux of Texas and David Heroux of North Carolina; a sister, Jo-Anne Ordway of Hawaii; 2 grandchildren, Davin Gregory and Charlotte Kemp; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Alan Heroux and Wilfred Heroux, Jr.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her services will be private. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
