In Taunton, Mary (Teixeira) Veloze, Age 92, passed away in Golden Living Wedgemere on June 2, 2020 following a brief illness. Mary was the loving wife of the late Charles Veloze. She was born in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Vasco & Maria (Amaral) Teixeira. Mary had been a longtime resident of Taunton. She was employed at the former Pober’s Store in Taunton as a seamstress. Mary enjoyed gardening, raising African Violets, and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Charles Veloze and his wife Lauren of FL, Paul Veloze of Middleboro and Alise Macallister of East Taunton. Mary also leaves her five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 5th at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton in Taunton at 11am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
