Johnny Edward Tison, 69, of Lenox went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Tison at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2020, at Lenox Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. James Tyson and the Rev. Ted Graham will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, June 5, 2020, at Lenox Cemetery from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Tony Exum, Kevin Bennett, Randy Tyson, Jordan Bennett, Brandon Bennett and Keith Exum will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born October 29, 1950 in Polk County, Florida, Mr. Tison was the son of the late Joseph Lemon Tison and Carrie Dorminy Tison. Before retiring, he was a welder at Kelley Manufacturing Company and he was of the Holiness faith. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Tison is survived by his wife, Peggy Harper Tison of Lenox; and one brother and sister-in-law, Rev. James and Sarah Tyson of Norman Park.
