Funeral services for Charlotte Toney Reed, age 91, of Ashburn will be held Tuesday. February 21, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Reed died Sunday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
Mrs. Reed was born in Irwin County, Georgia and had resided most of her life in Turner County. She was the daughter of the late Henry B. and Malinda Louise King Toney. She was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and the Keenagers Club. She was the widow of the late Horace Porter Reed, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Charlotte R. & Harry Doss of Tifton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Dr. Henry Toney Reed and Horace Porter “Race” Reed, Jr. and one grandchild, Ben Reed.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
