NORTH OXFORD___John (Jack) W. McCormick, 82, passed away due to complications from pneumonia.

He leaves his partner of 41 years, Carol Amell of North Oxford. She was his rock and he was hers. The love of each other’s lives. He also leaves four grandchildren, Meagen, Jake, David and Branden and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Gracelyn as well as nieces and nephews.

John served five years in the U.S. Navy. He was a skilled carpenter, bartender and was very proud of his Irish heritage. He enjoyed playing solitaire and absolutely loved doing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzles. The harder the better! He was quick with a joke or story to make us laugh.
