Maurice A. “Moe” Larence, 79, of Manville died Wednesday May 27th 2020 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of the late Catherine B. “Cathy” (Mills) Larence who passed away in January of 2018.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Maurice A. Larence, Sr. and Jeannette (Bazinet) Larence. He was a graduate of Woonsocket High School. He was a resident of Manville for many years.
Mr. Larence served in the United States Army during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Moe was employed as a manager at the Atlantic House Hotel in Narragansett. Over the years he also worked as a manager for Home Depot, Todd Enterprises Inc. and Consolidated Auto Springs Corp. and Washburn Wire Corp. in Rumford.
His funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St. Manville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery Manville. Moe will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife Cathy. Visiting hours are Monday morning from 9:00-945am, prior to Mass, at the funeral home
