Obituary

Edward Arnold Trimm, 77 a longtime resident of Bellingham,Ma. passed away at the Lydia Taft nursing home on Saturday May 23, 2020 after a long illness. Ed grew up in New Hampshire, where he met his wife of 54 years, Beverly at a town hall dance in high school.  Ed served in the Air Force, working on radars at the radome site in Brunswick Maine Naval Air Station. He had an amazing ear for music, and while in the service formed a band, The 3 Jolly Coachmen,  entertaining his fellow servicemen on weekends and holidays.

He worked for much of his career at Digital Equip. Corp. as a Quality Assurance Engineer, and spent several years at EMC. Ed loved working with kids and volunteering in his community. He spent many years coaching his children's teams in softball and basketball. During the 80's he was President of the Cable 8 organization where he spent countless hours working on community events. Later in life, he was a substitute teacher for the Bellingham School District. He would often share stories about his experiences with the students and found that position to be one of his best life experiences.

His favorite past time was researching his geneology, and sharing the stories of how some of our ancestors were pirates.He discovered Trim pond on Block Island, was named after our family. Land our family sold for barrels of cod fish. He logged all of these in notebooks to be past onto his grandchildren. A gift they will treasure.

He will be deeply missed by his family. He leaves behind, his beloved wife Beverly, daughter, Julianne Trimm Wolford, her husband Bob, and grandchildren Justin and Tori. His son Eric, his wife, Claudia and grandchildren Abner, and Samantha. His daughter Melissa Trimm Poirier,her husband Jason and grandchildren Jason, Elzie,Jonah, and baby Raymond.

Edward's interment at Newton Cemetery, will be held at a later date.
