Victoria Lopes Torres (75) of Brockton died May 21st in the city.
She was born in Len, Brava, Cabo Verde, daughter of the late Domingas Lopes Teixiera and Manuel Teixiera. Victoria worked as a maître d’ for the Park Plaza Restaurant in Boston. She was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking and socializing with family and friends, also was known as the life of the party.
Victoria is survived by 4 sons, Tony Lopes of Brockton, Jorge DaVeiga of Taunton, Felisberto DaVeiga of Rhode Island and Jose DaVeiga of Cabo Verde, a daughter Graciete DaVeiga of Rhode Island, a sister Maria Ribeiro Soares of Brockton, many grand and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 State, National Mandate and for the Health and Safety of the Community, Services for Victoria Lopes Torres will be held privately at the family's convenience. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
