Joyce (House) Lyons, 89, of Anderson, passed away on May 18, 2020 at Providence Care, Anderson, following an extended illness.
She was born in Perry's Park, Kentucky on May 30, 1930 the daughter of Omar and Hallie (Kincaid) House. She worked in laundry services at Community Hospital for many years. Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed bingo, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Shirley (Steven) Lee of Anderson, Judy Hendrix of Fishers, and Norman “Jack” (Connie) Lyons of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Christina Lyons of Ohio; 15 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brother, James House of Anderson and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; four brothers and son Marshall Lyons, and her former husband, Marshall Lyons, Sr.
A private family service will be held on Friday.
Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery.
