Carol E. (Albrecht) Boan, age 79, passed away on May 14, 2020 at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst. She was born on November 13, 1940 in Somerville, a daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Davis) Albrecht. Carol served in the US Army. She later worked as a key punch operator for a data processing company for many years before she retired. She was an avid Red Sox fan and Patriots fan. She worked on Apollo 7 and had close contact with mission control. She is survived by her sons, Christopher S. Boan of Chicopee and Brian H. Boan of CA; her daughter Terry A. Boan of CA; A sister, Beverly Ducharme of Belchertown. A grandchild, Timothy Brian Campagna, along with 5 nieces Wendy Ashworth, Sandi Chagnon, Debbie Ducharme, Sheri Ducharme, and Brenda Campbell. She also has 2 nephews, Freddy LaMarche and Daniel LaMarche. She is predeceased by her brothers Kenneth Albrecht & Charles (Sonny) Albrecht, and her sister Gail Calixtro . All services are private. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Carol will be interred in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
