
WEBSTER – Ernest F. Gelineau, Sr., 90, of 10 Elaine Street, died Friday, Feb. 17, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness. His wife of 63 years, Madeline P. (Ondrasek) Gelineau, died on October 23, 2005.
He leaves a son, Ernest F. Gelineau, Jr., and his wife Mary C. of Ruskin, FL; a daughter, Janice M. Gelineau-Zethraeus and her husband Bo of London, England; 2 brothers, Edgar Gelineau of Webster and Bernard Gelineau of Wallingford, CT; 2 grandsons, Adam and Simon; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Webster, a son of Arthur L. and Emma (Chagnon) Gelineau, and lived here all his life. He graduated from Bartlett High School.
Mr. Gelineau was a machinist at Pratt Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford and then at Wyman Gordon Co. in Worcester before retiring in 1977.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a life member of its League of the Sacred Heart.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Thursday, Feb. 23, in the funeral home.
