…Teamster’s Local 25; age 86
TEWKSBURY - Howard Charles Scott, age 86, Teamster Local 25, died Monday, May 18, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Paula M. (Reale) Scott, with whom he had celebrated a fortieth-year wedding anniversary this past November 18th.
He was born in Beverly, on July 23, 1933, one of three children of the late Stanley and Lillie (Godsoe) Scott, raised in the Pinehurst and Pinedale sections of Billerica, and attended Howe High School. He was a Patriot and loved his Country, Ford trucks, and his 1956 Triumph motorcycle. He worked as a Local 25, Teamster truck driver for several firms including B&M Transportation, Johnson Motor Lines, and retired from Carolina Freight in Woburn.
In his leisure time, he was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics, and traveled around New England following Drag Car, Stock Car, and NASCAR races. He also enjoyed touring on his motorcycle on journeys as far as Alaska, with his compatriots, led by his friend, the late Moe Steele.
But his most precious moments were those spent in the company of his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Paula, he leaves three children, Kenneth H. Scott of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher C. Scott of Tewksbury, and Kimberly H. Scott of Concord, NH; three adored grandchildren, Bethany Scott and Tanner Scott both of Tewksbury and Jake Davis of Concord, NH; a brother, Edmund Scott and his wife Shirley of FL, and brother in law Bob Cook of FL, many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his sister, Joan Cook.
