Obituary

Christine D. Borden, age 68, of Weymouth passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020. Christine grew up and was educated in Weymouth, graduating Weymouth High School in 1969.

Christine was extremely smart, funny, and artistically/musically talented. She wrote poetry and could shoot a gun. She loved to travel, was outgoing and thrived on being in the middle of the action. She was stunning and looked like a model every time she left the house. She turned heads everywhere she went. She won best dressed in High School using her babysitting money to purchase designer fabric which she then used to recreate the latest fashions from magazines, having created thirty different original outfits, with shoes dyed to match and accessories like earrings she made and painted as well.

She inherited her dad’s green thumb, and while staying at her parent’s home the yard was always beautifully blooming, bringing joy to her mom who adored flowers.

She loved animals and often had a menagerie which at one time or another included dogs, cats, snakes, birds, turtles, rats, scorpions, and iguanas – often at the same time. She also rescued wild things. One of the many foundlings was a young pigeon she’d found on a Boston street, raised to adulthood sporting the name “Sir Walter Pigeon”.
Christine’s charismatic personality was a force of nature.

Christine is preceded by her parents Newton W. Borden and Frances L. (Moeller) Borden, originally from Randolph. She is also preceded by Her Sister Bonnie J. (Borden) Bussey of Maine and her brother David N. Borden of Washington State. She is survived by her sister Laurie M. (Borden) Micarelli of Pembroke and her Nephews Matthew N. Borden of Dedham and Christopher D. Micarelli of Weymouth. She is also survived by many cousins across the country.
