Mary V. (Arrruda) Correira, age 91, of Westport, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Manuel V. and Mary (Souza) Arruda and wife of the late Joseph T. Correira. She sewed for many shops in Fall River, and was a member of the Holy Ghost Club in Westport. Mary’s greatest love however were her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Joseph A. Correira of FL, Joanne Szala and Lorianne Nunes both of Westport, siblings John V. and Lionel V. Arruda, Irene Rigby, and Rita Silva, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Due to the new restrictions implemented by Gov. Baker and the Diocese of Fall River in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Mary’s funeral services will be private for the Immediate Family only. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc.
