Robert E. Spezzaferri, 69, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Jensen Beach, Florida, died February 17, 2006 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born in Medford, MA, on April 27, 1936, the son of Isaiah and Mary (Deluzio) Spezzaferri. He was educated in the Medford school system and was a graduate of Medford High School.
During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Raytheon Corp. for 35 years. He was a sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed golf. He most loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Members of his family include his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Murray) Spezzaferri of Manchester; 3 sons Robert P. and Deb Spezzafferi and their children, Cameron and Jacob of Candia, NH; Mark and Sandy Spezzafferi and their children Mitchell and Valarie of Trubuco Canyon, CA; Jay and Claudia Spezzafferi and their son Daniel of Lyneborough, NH; 2 daughters, Mary Beth and Stephen Sargent and their children Nate, Greg, and Drew of Nashua, NH; Paula Moore and her children Alexis and Lucas of Manchester; one brother, Roland and Claire Spezzaferri of Medford, MA; sister-in-law, Norma Spezzaferri of Burlington; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Spezzaferri.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St. Manchester, will be Monday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Marie Church on Tuesday on 11am. Burial will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
