Theresa Champagne, 80, passed into Heaven on May 9, 2020 while residing in North Smithfield at St. Antoine Residence. Theresa was the daughter of the late Russell and Beatrice (Caron) Champagne of Woonsocket and spent most of her life in Cumberland.
Theresa attended the Assembly of God Church in South Attleboro for many years. She volunteered there by shopping for the neighbors and people of the church who were unable to shop for themselves.
Theresa attended Providence College and over the years worked part time. Her favorite job was being a mother to her three children, then a grandmother and great grandmother.
Theresa was an avid reader and liked to sew. She also enjoyed visiting Newport, Galilee, Plymouth and Mystic Seaport. Her favorite food was seafood from George’s, Flo’s and Iggy’s. Theresa was active with her grandchildren by playing cards, board games, watching movies and she especially enjoyed reading to them when they were younger.
Remembering Theresa with love and looking forward to seeing her in Heaven one day are her children: Jean Morrison and her husband Gene of Oklahoma, Donna Bourque of Cumberland and John Bourque and his wife Cindy of Oklahoma; along with their families, including 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and their families.
Theresa was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Forte, of Cumberland.
