LOWELL—Ada G. (Buzzell) Whitney, 91 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday morning at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Whitney, who died in 1978.
She was born in Lowell, on March 29, 1911, a daughter of the late Allen and Anna (Foster) Buzzell, was educated in the Lowell Public Schools System.
She is survived by a son: Edward C. Whitney, of Lowell; a granddaughter: Cindy Whitney; four nieces: Shirley McCarthy, Joan Benoit, Dolores Runyon, and Barbara Perry, all of Lowell; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was the mother of the late William J. Whitney, who died in 1984.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, July 12th, at 11 AM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38), to which relatives and friends are invited. Friends may call on Friday, July 12th, from 9 until the service at 11 AM. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery.
