Thomas F. Fleming, 82, of Hillsdale, PA died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home.
The son of Robert F. and Helen V. (Gromley) Fleming, he was born on June 8, 1937 in Hillsdale, PA.
Tom served in the US military and was a member of the Glen Campbell American Legion.
He attended the Church of the Resurrection in Glen Campbell, PA.
Essentially, Tom was a lifetime mechanic. He had been employed as a mechanic at the former Gromley Chevrolet and Strickler Chevrolet dealerships in Hillsdale, PA. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanic with Falisec Transportation. All of his life he enjoyed ‘tinkering” with vehicles and projects.
Tom spent countless hours tending to his large vegetable garden.
One of his other favorite interests was hunting. Tom was a charter member of the Montgomery Township Rod and Gun Club.
Tom wed Margaret “Margie” A. Androsky on November 21, 1970. They had shared over forty-four years together, when she passed away on February 8, 2015.
Tom is survived by his two sisters: Marie Bargerstock of Franklinville, NC and Cor-Nell Pearce and husband, Jackson of Hillsdale, PA; his aunt Elizabeth Flanders (age 100); his niece and primary caregiver, Patti Horvath and husband Dutch of Hillsdale, PA and his numerous nieces; nephews and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
In accordance with the coronavirus guidelines, private services officiated by Fr. Greg dela Cruz Soldevilla, Jr. will be held for Tom’s immediate family at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Private interment to take place at the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery in Glen Campbell, PA.
