Fall River - Amelia (Wilks) Laprise, 85, of Fall River, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at home. She was the widow of Albert L. Laprise.
She was born in Stockport, England, daughter of the late Harold and Amelia (Ratcliff) Wilks, and had resided in Westport for most of her life prior to moving to Fall River 2 years ago. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Westport.
She is survived by 4 sons: Arthur Laprise of Fall River, Ronald H. Laprise of Somerset, Dennis Laprise of Fall River and Albert L. Laprise, Jr. of Norton; a daughter: Dorothy Silveira of Middletown, RI; 4 sisters: Annie Silvia of Westport, Flora Mellor of Fall River; Ellen Richardson of Danielson, CT and Edith Tindle of CO; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 6 - 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
