Worcester- Candace M. "Candy" (Allen) Scola, 32, of 3 Knox Street, died Friday, July 5, at home.
She leaves her husband, Anthony J. Scola; her parents, James G. Allen Jr. and Constance M. (Morin) Allen, of Montville, Maine; a brother, James G. Allen III of Washington, DC; three sisters, Christine M. Allen of Punta Gorda, FL, Celeste I. Allen of Woonsocket, RI, and Catherine E. Wailgum of Boston; a step-son, Anthony J. "A.J." Scola, Jr. of Worcester; her maternal grandparents, Adelard G. Morin and Theresa M. (Hebert) Guilmette Morin of North Oxford; a niece, Emma C. Wailgum of Boston; 2 aunts; 3 uncles; cousins. She was born in Worcester, and lived in Leicester many years before moving to Worcester.
Mrs. Scola graduated from Leicester High School. She attended Becker College and was attending Worcester State College.
Mrs. Scola was a judicial secretary in the judges lobby of the Worcester Juvenile Court.
She enjoyed painting watercolors, gardening, flowers, and cooking.
The funeral will be held Friday, July 12, from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the YWCA Daybreak Program, P.O. Box 3093, Worcester, MA 01613.
