Obituary

Edward David Hennessy, age 81, of Medway died on May 1st, 2020. He passed away peacefully in his home with his children by his side. Born in Stoughton, MA on February 4th, 1939, the son of the late David Joseph and Alice Louise (Bourbeau) Hennessy.

Edward was raised in Dedham, MA and he had many friends. Edward was married to his beloved wife (Margaret) for fifty years before she passed in 2014. Edward lived in Medway for 42 years and his children: Mark, Maureen, and Katherine, all went to Medway High School. Edward is also survived by eight grandchildren. He worked for more than 30 years for the M.B.T.A. and for several years with the Paul Revere Transportation Company and later Shaw's. Mr. Hennessy is also survived by several siblings: Mr. Jack Hennessy, Mr. Jim Hennessy, and Kathy Renzetti. Edward enjoyed caring for his home and garden, he enjoyed fishing in his spare time, he loved spending time with family on The Cape. Also, Edward donated often to the following charities: St. Jude's Children's Research, The American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warrior Project, Shriner's Hospital, and St. Joseph's Indian School (to name a few).

Our immediate family will postpone a private memorial service until the Summer of 2021 (given the present issues related to the Wuhan SARS Virus).
