Worcester—Judith A. (Swenson) Gustafson, 107, of Country Club Boulevard, died Friday, February 10, 2006 at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband, Paul A. Gustafson died in 1950. Her daughter, Pauline M. Lindi, died in 1999. Two sisters, Agnes and Helmi Swenson also predeceased her. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Matthew R. Lindi and John C. Lindi of Upton and Eve A. Lindi of Oakland, CA and two great-grandchildren, April M. Lindi of Hooksett, NH, and Dylan M. Lindi-McGaw of Ayer.
She was born in Worcester on August 14, 1898 daughter of Carl J. L. and
Amanda P. (Anderson) Swenson. She graduated from Becker Business College, was a bookkeeper for the former Swenson and Lindstrom Heating and
Engineering Company, and later worked as a clerical worker at Norton
Company. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Stella Chapter for over 60 years.
A private graveside service under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tues., February 21 at the All Faiths Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers.
