BILLERICA - Ann M. (Rausa) Carney, 56, a Billerica resident for three decades, died Tuesdayevening, July 9, at Mass General Hospital, after an eight month battle with cancer. She was thewife of Kevin P. Carney, with whom she would have celebrated a 31st wedding anniversary onJuly 20th.
She was born in Boston, Aug. 19, 1945, and raised in Jamaica Plain by her late mother Alice(Anderson) Uva, and late step father Jospeh Uva. She lived in Arlington before moving toBillerica 27 years ago.
She was on medical leave from the data entry department of Epsilon Corporation in Burlington.
Mrs. Carney was an Bingo enthusiast, and traveled throughout New England to attend high stakesgames.
She will be best remembered as having devoted her life to her husband, children andgrandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin P. Carney, a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and MarkSpiller of Tewksbury, a son, Francis Carney of Billerica, two grandchildren, Kayla Iovino andKyle Spiller, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jolene and Tom Halpin of Taunton, Rose andSteve Rines of Taunton, Jacqueline and Al Nadeau of Middleboro, and numerous nieces andnephews.
A graveside prayerservice was held Saturday, July 13, in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
