Marie (Horneff) Steinhauer of Dedham formerly of Springfield died on Tuesday February 14, 2006 at the Deutsches Ahenheim in West Roxbury at the age 85. Born in Germany Mrs. Steinhauer came to this country with her husband Samuel in 1956 and resided in Springfield for over 40 years before moving to Dedham. She has been a resident of Dedham for 10 years. Mrs. Steinhauer enjoyed knitting, was a great cook and was a cherished and devoted grandmother to her 5 grandchildren. Mrs. Steinhauer was the beloved wife of 58 years of Samuel Steinhauer. Loving mother of Emilie and her husband Stanley Hitron of Needham and Edith and her husband Jacob Kagan of Newton Center. Dear and devoted grandmother of Matthew Hitron, Ingrid Lombardino, Elise Hitron, Joseph and Rachel Kagan. Funeral Services at the Christ Episcopal Chapel, 1132 Highland Ave Needham on Friday February 17th at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment service will take place at the Newton Cemetery in Newton. In lieu of flowers memorials in Marie’s memory may be made to Bethany Faith Home Church, 9348 75th St. North, Stillwater, MN 55082.
