Genevieve “Gen“ (Holm) Lindahl 92, of Thurwood Place in South Yarmouth formerly of Dennis and Needham died on Monday February 13, 2006 at her son’s home in Needham. A native of Providence, RI. Genevieve grew up in Providence and graduated with honor from Catherine Gibbs School in Providence. She married her first husband Oscar W. Tippett in 1939 and moved to Needham in 1941 and resided in Needham for 40 years before moving to the Cape. In 1961 she married Bertil Edward Gustafson at the First Baptist Church in Needham. They were married for many years before the sudden death of Edward in 1983. Early in 1990 Gen married Melvin Dolan and resided on the Cape and later was widowed in 1997. On February 14, 1998 Valentines Day, Gen married Richard C. Lindahl her bridge partner for over 5 years. They continued health, lots of bridge and a tranquil of life at Thurwood Place. Richard passed away recently on September 1st 2005. Gen was a loving mother, housewife and an avid Bridge player. A real estate entrepreneur for over 6 decades, she was very involved in developing , purchasing and selling of real estate which led to ownership of her many properties. Gen is survived by her two son’s; Bruce A. Tippett of Needham and Barry W. Tippett of Maui, HI. She was the step- mother of Robert Gustafson of Hermosa Beach, CA and the late Elaine Gustafson Newton. She also leaves her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral Services at the First Baptist Church Chapel 858 Great Plain Ave Needham on Saturday February 18th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment services will be held at the Oakridge Cemetery RT 134 in Dennis on Sunday at 1:30 PM.
