Alida J. Finney (Sherman) of Randolph MA passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on April 29, 2020.
She was born in Boston to the late Shirley Berlow\Lindberg and Harrry Sherman and was a graduate of Boston Latin School and Boston State College. Alida spent many years working in different educational settings where she took pride in supporting students. She enjoyed going for walks, relaxing at the beach and shopping to dress to the tee. Alida was always eager to engage others and strike up conversation. and she loved from the heart.
Alida is survived by her brother Roy Sherman, his wife Eileen Sherman and their son Daniel Sherman of Boston; her former husband Russell Finney of Randolph, Ma, her son Jason Finney and his fiancé Alysa Mello of Canton, Ma, her daughter Stephanie McCarthy and her husband Jason McCarthy of Natick MaA and her 3 beloved grandchildren Savananh, Dylan and Keegan McCarthy.
She will be missed dearly. Per Alida’s wishes , she was cremated and in the light of the current pandemic restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time to honor her. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers please consider donating to a local food pantry in Alida’s memory.
