She was born in Milwaukee, Wisc., the daughter of Elmer and Lillian G. (Dodge) Mixdorf. She worked at The Louis Allis Co. where she met her husband Jerry. After getting married they lived in Milwaukee, WI , then moved to Charlotte, N.C., then Stone Mountain GA, then Kent, OH, then Franklin MA, all with the same company where they eventually settled and lived for about 43 years before their final move to Spencer MA about 3 years ago.

Sandy had a huge heart and was devoted to her family and her animals, especially her dogs. She was the leader of many scout groups and dog & horse 4-H groups throughout the years. As much as she loved her family, she cared equally for animals.

She worked at Millis Animal Hospital and then Main Street Veterinary Hospital for much of her adult life, and most recently, part-time at Master Peace Dog Training in Franklin. Her love of animals led to her helping to establish the Purffect Cat Shelter in Millis, MA.

If you had the privilege of being loved by her, you were loved completely and unconditionally, and you were a better person for it. She impacted so may lives and will be forever missed.
Due to health restrictions at this time, the family will have a Celebration of her Life at a later date.
