MYRTLE BEACH, SC: Margaret C. (Feran) Stevens, age 76, a former longtime resident of Tewksbury, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at her home.
She was the wife of Donald H. Stevens, who died August 20, 1986.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, on May 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Blanche (King) Feran.
Mrs. Stevens was raised in New Brunswick, Canada.
She attended New Brunswick schools and graduated from St. Vincent’s High School in 1947.
Following graduation, she attended secretarial school in New Brunswick, Canada
In 1952, she moved to Tewksbury, where she resided for 44 years.
While living in Tewksbury, she was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
Mrs. Stevens resided in Arizona for 9 years until moving to Myrtle Beach last year.
Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was employed by the MacLellan Oil Company of Tewksbury for over 30 years.
She enjoyed summer vacations and spending time with her family in Maine.
She is survived by two sons; David D. Stevens and his wife Rachael (Gasbarro) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brian G. Stevens of Phoenix, AZ; two grand-daughters; Taylor M. and Jessica N. Stevens both of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters; Rita J. Roy of Tewksbury, Anna Kelly and her husband Fred of Tewksbury and Blanche Hanley of New Brunswick, Canada; one brother; Billy Feran of Tewksbury; also many nieces and nephews including Paul J. Roy of Tewksbury and Linda Roy Chiozzi of Andover.
Mrs. Stevens was the sister of the late Elizabeth Feran, James, Herbert, Edgar and Thomas Feran.
Calling hours Saturday,February 18th, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
