Obituary

Walter C. "Wally" Landry, a lifelong resident of Charlestown passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home in Charlestown on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. He was 60 years of age.

Wally was born in Boston on August 23, 1959, a son of the late Margaret "Margie" (O'Neill) Kent and her husband Joseph Kent and Walter C. Landry. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1977. Wally worked as a Truck Driver for the United States Postal Service and retired following over 30 years of dedicated service. Previously, he had worked in the Public Works Department for the City of Boston. Wally was involved in the Charlestown Pop Warner Football Program as a coach for several years. He was a longtime member of The Somerville City Club.

Wally is the father of Jennifer Marie Landry. He is also lovingly survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He will be sorely missed by his loyal and faithful dog, Corbett.

Memorial donations maybe made in Wally's name to The Charlestown Boys & Girls Club, 15 Green St. Charlestown, Mass. 02129.
