Florence (Berube) Donnelly, 89, of Lady Lake, FL died February 10, 2006 in Florida.
Born in Berlin on January 31, 1917, she was the daughter of Alexander and Antoinette (LeBlond) Berube. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1935.
IN HER LIFE: She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. After falling in love with her husband to be, George Rexford Donnelly, she followed him to Fort Benning, GA when he was drafted during World War II. They were married there on December 22, 1941.
After that, Rex was sent to North Africa where he remained for the duration of the war. Once he returned they moved to Plantsville, CT where their only child, a daughter, Janet was born. They eventually settled in East Hartford, CT where Rex and Flo worked until they retired and settled in Lady Lake. Rex died in 1980.
The family includes her daughter and son in law, Janet and Nick Petrycki of Cromwell, CT; two grandchildren, Stephanie A. and Adam M. Petrycki both of Cromwell; two brothers, Armand Berube of Manchester and Rudolph Berube of Claremont; four sisters, Doris Carrier of Manchester, Priscilla Desilets of Berlin, Marcelle Benz of Ocala, Fl and Jacqueline Bergeron of Bow and Clearwater, FL; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday February 18, 2006 in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery.
