Obituary

Elvie K. (Kepple) Lacey, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Melrose Health Care Nursing Home in Melrose. She was 100 years of age.

Elvie was born in Boston on June 22, 1919, a daughter of the late John E. Kepple and Florence A. (Turner) Kepple. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1936. Elvie worked as an X-Ray Technician at the Boston City Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed the special moments in her life with her 2 sons and was very proud of her grandchildren and their personal accomplishments they have achieved in their lives. She was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.

Elvie is the beloved wife of the late George F. Lacey. She is the devoted mother of Michael Lacey and his late wife Linda and the late George F. Lacey Jr. She is the loving Nana to Melissa, Michael Jr., Heather, George III, Brian, Patrick, Kathleen, Michael and her many great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late Zelma Lacey, John Kepple, Wilbur Kepple and George Kepple. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ELVIE'S FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL AT HOLY CROSS CEMETERY IN MALDEN WILL BE PRIVATE.
