James J. Fontaine, age 59, passed away on April 16, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on April 6, 1961 in Holyoke, MA, a son of the late Edmond and Marjorie B. (McNamara) Fontaine. James was very involved with Sunshine Village for many years. He was a former employee for Big Y. James was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and a huge WWE wrestling fan. He was a gregarious and funny guy who loved all around him. He is survived by his brother David Fontaine of Martinsville, VA; his sister Pamela Basso of Gloucester; 2 nephews, 1 niece and many cousins. All services will be private.
