Helen Louise (Hally) Daniels-Carr, a 40 year resident of Winchester and formally of Charlestown, died on Monday, February 13, 2006, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a short illness. She was 91 years old.
Helen was born in Boston on May 18, 1914. She grew up in Charlestown attending St. Mary’s Grammar School and is a graduate of Charlestown High School. Helen worked as a secretary for an insurance company and also for the IRS during tax season. Helen was married to Paul L. Daniels and had four children. Paul was taken from Helen in 1957. Helen married Frank H. Carr in 1965 and moved to Winchester in 1966.
Helen was the wife of the late Paul L. Daniels and Frank H. Carr. She is the loving mother of Paula McGee and her husband Robert of Medford, William L. Daniels and his wife Joan of Charlestown, Elaine Graham of Winchester and Mary O’Brien and her husband Bill of Lynnfield. Helen is the cherished grandmother of Kristin, Alyssa, Paul, Kevin, Megan, Chris, Christopher and Caroline. She was the beloved sister of the late Edward, Joseph, William, James Hally and Mary Galvin. She was loved and adored by the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren of Frank H. Carr.
Helen’s Funeral will be held from the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, on Friday, February 17, 2006, at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours for Helen will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, from 4 – 8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
