Salem
John Emerson Luxton II, 59, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly at the North Shore Medical Center/ Salem Hospital on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of Lonna (Lavigne) Luxton-Gay and the late David E. Luxton. John was a graduate of Salem High School who shortly after graduating joined the Army. He served stateside and in Europe from 1981 through 1988 and was Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant in 1988. He moved to California in 1989 and returned to Salem in 2002. He was a member of the Salem Witch City VFW Post 1524.
John is survived by his mother Lonna of Saco, ME, his son, John E. Luxton, III and his wife Rushell of Colorado Springs, CO, his daughter, Randi A. Luxton of Salem, his sister, Lonna A. Bandouveres and her husband Harry of Billerica, his brother, David E. Luxton, Jr.of New Hampshire as well as two grandchildren, Roary Luxton and Logan Luxton. He also leaves his fiancée, Peggy E. Riley of Everett.
