DUDLEY – William C. “Bill” Wentworth, 76, died Saturday, April 18, 2020 at home in the presence of his family.

He leaves his wife of almost 43 years, Dorothy J. (Demmons) Wentworth; 3 daughters, Tina Vancelette of Ohio, Susan A. Richard and her husband Wayne of Dudley, and Sandra Fafard and her husband Bryan of Webster; 3 stepsons, Paul Vancelette, Sr. of Worcester, Joseph Vancelette, Sr. and his wife Tina of Dudley, and Ronald Vancelette, Sr. of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Richard, Karysta Richard, Michael Richard, Jr. and Ashley Richard, all of whom he raised, and Paul “PJ” Vancelette, Jr., Joshua Vancelette and his wife Jessica, Isaiah Perez, James Vancelette, Joseph Vancelette, Jr., Chelsea Vancelette, Ronald Vancelette, Jr. and Destiny Vancelette; 9 great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Emma, Jacinda, Isabelle, Aiden, Ainsley, Annie, Maddie and Eliani; 2 sisters, Gail Wall of Florida and Tally Wentworth of Franklin, NH; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his stepson James Vancelette, Jr. and by 2 brothers, Ronald Wentworth and Irving Wentworth, Jr.

He was born in Webster on December 26, 1943, a son of Irving Wentworth, Sr. and Nellie (Hilton)Wentworth and lived in the Dudley-Oxford area all his life.

Mr. Wentworth was a mechanic for many years at the present Goodyear Tire Company on Thompson Road in Webster, retiring several years ago. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. A favorite pastime was meeting his friend Luke on Tuesdays and Friday mornings at Honey Dew in Webster.

Visiting hours will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
