Richard A. Savage age 89 of West Bridgewater, died April 18, 2020 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Rita (Malaney) Savage for 64 years.
Born in Brockton a son of the late Raymond and Helen (Sawyer) Savage, Dick lived in West Bridgewater for most of his life. Dick was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School.
Dick was a truck driver by trade and worked with Teamsters Local 653 at Franklin & Perkins Paper Company in Brockton and with Teamsters Local 504 at Carter Rice Paper Company in Braintree.
In his free time, Dick enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots.
He was the father of Denise Vachon and her husband Brian of Norton, Sherri Davis and her husband Rusty of Taunton and the late Lori Savage Jenkins. He was grandfather of Amie, Austin, Lindsay, Danielle and Courtney and great grandfather of Eli, Vince, Landon and Hudson.
Graveside services will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dick’s name to the West Bridgewater Permanent Firefighters Association, Local 2610, 99 Center St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
