Clifford M. Sharpe Jr., 48 of Derry, NH, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at his home. Mr. Sharpe was born in Lynn, MA on August 20, 1957, a son of the late Clifford M. and Dorothy (Mara) Sharpe. Mr. Sharpe was a longtime resident of Derry. He graduated from Peabody, MA High School, Class of 1975. He was active in the Eagles Club in Derry where he was the current Secretary. He coached Little League and was active in Pop Warner. He was a member of the Halcyon Club in Derry and the American Legion Post #9 in Derry. Cliff was employed as an acoustical carpenter since 1975, and was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local #40 in Cambridge, MA. Cliff cooked for the Senior Breakfasts in town and helped put on various holiday events at the local clubs. He enjoyed swimming as a child, and also enjoyed camping and horses.
He is survived by three children, a son, T.J. Sharpe and his wife Allison of Derry, a daughter, Heather V. Sharpe and her fiancé Brandon Dumont of Manchester, NH, and son, Christopher C. Sharpe of Derry, a brother, Timothy James Sharpe and his wife Janet of Las Vegas, NV, three sisters, Roberta J. Sharpe-Drout and her husband Dr. David Drout of Colts Neck, NJ, Debra N. Sharpe and her husband Roy Chambers of Milton, MA, Dorothy Sharpe- Fortney and her husband Gary Fortney of Las Vegas and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Debra J. (Clougherty) Sharpe in 1997.
Calling hours were held on Friday, February 17, 2006 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 18th at 10:00am in the funeral home, with cremation following. The burial will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Bldg., 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
