Walter W. Woodman Jr, 65, of East Bridgewater MA, entered into eternal life on April 11, 2020 due to complications related to COVID-19.
Walter was born January 1, 1955 in Biloxi Mississippi to the late Walter Sr. and the late Agnes (Foley) Woodman. Walter loved his family more than anything in the world and was the proudest Papa to his 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In his younger years, Walter enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to music and fixing cars. Once he became a dad, his four girls were the center of his universe. He suffered a major stroke in 2013 at the young age of 57 leaving him predominately paralyzed requiring long-term care.
Walter enjoyed regular visits from family and mini dates with his wife every week. He was passionate about family and everyone knew just how proud he was of all of us. His smile and laughter lit up a room especially when his grandchildren/great grandchildren were present. Walter had a kind heart, enjoyed being social and helping others any way he could. He has been known to dress up as Santa Claus and was recently crowned “King Valentine” in the nursing home he resided at.
Devoted husband of 46 years to his high school sweetheart, Deborah (Goodrow) Woodman, loving father to Tracy Woodman and her partner Michael Wood, Amy Woodman, Debbie Fitzgerald and her spouse Kevin Fitzgerald, Lisa Moore and her spouse Paul Moore. Caring big brother to Karen Carranza, Joanne German and Janice Woodman. Proud Papa of Walter Jr, Samantha, Patrick, Matthew, Joshua, Joseph, Lejistik, Caitlyn, Hailey, PJ, Jacob, Amari, Caesar and the late Destin Williams.
Although services are not possible at this time, a celebration of Walter’s life will be planned at a later date.
