SALEM- Ralph L. Bain, 86, of Peabody, formerly of Salem, died Thursday afternoon, February 9, 2006 in the Salem Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Danvers on November 26, 1919, he was the son of the late Kenneth R. and Mary E. (Punchard) Bain and was a resident of Salem for most of his life until moving to Peabody in the early 1990's. He was a lifelong and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Salem.
Mr. Bain was the devoted brother of Ruth S. Bain of Peabody, uncle of Robert K. Bain, Jr. and grand uncle of Justin Bain, both of Orangeville, CA. Be was the brother of the late Elizabeth Brigham, Alfred Bain and Robert Bain.
His funeral service will be Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Noon in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held from 11 am to 12, prior to the service. Burial is in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
