MARGARET “MARGIE” FISHER OBITUARY


Margaret “Margie” (Betsa) Fisher, 90, of Dixonville, PA died on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Michael and Catherine (Lazeration) Betsa, she was born on November 11, 1929 in Dixonville, PA.

Margie was a graduate of Green Township High School.

She was a member of the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Indiana, PA.

Margie married John V. Fisher on June 18, 1949 and shared over 68 years of marriage together until his death on August 5, 2017.

Margie enjoyed working at Fisher Furniture in Dixonville with her husband and family while greeting and assisting customers. She could also be found cleaning, painting and re-arranging the displays.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and being with her family. She loved preparing large meals, baking and decorating for any occasion.

Margie’s hobby was working hard at home and she had a passion for painting inside and out.

Margie is survived by her four children: Colleen (Francis) Super of Clymer, PA; Kenneth (Debra) Fisher of Commodore, PA; Karen Fisher (Janet Kreizman) of Rockville, MD and Kevin (Vicky) Fisher of Marion Center, PA; her five grandchildren: Maria (Scott) Britton; Kristen (Rodney) Pegg; Tracy (Dana) Fisher-Neely; Jamie (Zebulon) Fultz and Ian (Kristen) Fisher; her great-grandchildren: Madison Britton; Bailee Britton; Macey Pegg; Vienna Fultz; Troy Fultz; John Fisher-Neely; Waylon Fisher and a “great grandchild to be” expected in August.
Also surviving are her siblings: Kathryn Strobel of Cleveland, OH; Julie Wannett of Commodore, PA and Harry Betsa of Glen Campbell, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John and her ten siblings.

In accordance with the coronavirus guidelines, private services officiated by Rev. Joe Stroup were held for Margie’s immediate family at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA with entombment at the Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
