Obituary

Lucille T. (Charron) Levesque, 93, a former resident of Salem, passed away peacefully at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody on Thursday, April 2, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Laurent G. Levesque, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem she was the daughter of the late Celestin and Rose (Santerre) Charron. Lucille attended St. Joseph School and in her younger years worked as a seamstress for the David Smith Company, clothing manufacturers in Lynn. Lucille was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She devoted her life creating a welcoming home for her extended family and friends. Lucille enjoyed playing the organ, knitting and playing bingo. Following Laurent’s retirement the couple spent many wonderful years traveling and wintering in Florida,
She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Letarte and her husband Gilbert of Salem and five nieces, Diane Clark and her husband Jeffrey, Carol Stetson and her husband Edward, Jeanie Smith and her husband James, all of Salem, Eileen Rosato and her husband Ralph of Wenham, Elaine Lawson and her husband Brad of Franklinton, NC, and her nephew Raymond Letarte and his wife Maryanne of Salem. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Iwanicki and her husband Henry iwanicki.
Lucille’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the many devoted caregivers at Sunrise.
A private graveside service was held due to the current health crisis.
