Obituary


Alexander Ronald Vailliant, Jr. "Ronnie" of Wilmington died on Sunday, April 5th. He was 82. Born and raised in Woburn, he was the son of Alexander R. Vailliant, Sr. and his beloved mother Bessie Louise (MacFarland). As a young man, Ronnie proudly served in the Air Force for 5 years.

After returning home, Ronnie worked for nearly 30 years as a welder at Walsh Body in Cambridge. When Walsh Auto Body closed Ronnie took a job at Johnson Controls, Inc. until he retired. Ronnie liked taking road trips to Foxwoods and watching The Red Sox and Patriot Games.

Ronnie was the husband of the late Patricia (Mckenney) Vailliant. Later in life Ronnie married and was predeceased by Lucille (Rizzo) Vailliant, his wife of 38 years. Ronnie was the dear brother of the late Carol Ross and Mary (Cookie) Lee.

He is Survived by his daughter Sharon Hagen and her husband Peter of NH, his sisters Sandra Coakley and her husband William of Woburn, Patricia "Tish" Vailliant and her partner John Lee of Billerica, step daughters Deborah Whittaker and her husband William of Medford, Teresa Vicente and her husband Aderito of Saugus, Nancy Ludwig and her husband Michael of North Reading, Lucille White of Belmont, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private service will be held at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant Street, Woburn, MA, and will conclude with his burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA.
