Obituary

Michael P. Shea, 54 a lifelong resident of Medford. Born December 27, 1965, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his childhood home in Medford.

Michael was born in Medford to Anna Shea and the late Frank Shea Jr. Although he lost his father when he was 12. Michael was lucky to call the late James Hulme Sr. his second father. Michael was the youngest sibling to Kathleen, Maureen, Doreen and brother in-law Michael Bryk, Corinne and brother in-law George Terrien, Laurine and Frank Shea III and sister in-law Linda, and step brother of James Hulme Jr, Stevie Hulme and wife Claire and the late Carol Hulme and Gary Hulme. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and his cats Charlie and Eddie. Everyone will miss Michael's handsome smile, dry wit and brutal honesty. Don't forget his beautiful blue eyes. Michael never married or had children, but he always made sure he was close to his family. He always asked how everyone was doing and wanted pictures all the time.

If you knew Michael then you definitely would have a story or two to tell. He was a loyal friend to many and countless people were lucky to have known him. Michael grew up with a close knit neighborhood group of friends that enjoyed playing hockey and trying to stay out of trouble, sometimes unsuccessfully.

He graduated from Medford Vocational Technical School in 1984 and spent time proudly serving his country in the US National Guard. His close friends (you know who you are) who worked beside him at Lake HVAC made it that much more simpler and easier to go to work every day. He worked there for 20+ years. While employed there he helped a lot of new kids along the way.

He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water with his friends and most recently enjoyed deep sea fishing trips to Cape Cod with his siblings. He loved the Bruins and Patriots and most of all his Country. Beneath his tough guy exterior Michael had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Michael will be missed by many but will never be forgotten.

Michael's funeral services will be private. His family hopes to celebrate his life at a future date.

Michael's family requests that contribution's may be made in Michael's name to the Fisher House For Veterans
