Dennis R. Cabral, 62, of New Bedford died February 10, 2006 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Robin L. (Travers) Cabral.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel Cabral and Jeannette (Deneault) Cabral Yates, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Cabral attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Dartmouth.
He was formerly employed as a financial advisor with John Hancock Life Insurance, Charles S. Ashley Insurance Company and New York Life Insurance Company.
Mr. Cabral was a member of and past president of the Rotary Club of New Bedford, served on the Board of Directors of the YMCA and was the chairman of the board for the Salvation Army. He was a former member of the Prince Henry Society.
He was an avid New York Yankees fan and a season ticket holder of the New England Patriots for many years.
Mr. Cabral enjoyed travel, fine dining and volunteering his time and efforts to many charitable organizations.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Janice Ashworth, and her husband Gordon, of Rochester; a niece and a nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, February 15th at 11 AM.
Visiting hours Tuesday, February 14th from 4-8 PM.
Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
