Obituary

Worcester: Wayne D. Schnare, Sr. passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. He leaves his Father David Schnare of Spencer and his sister Renee Little and her husband Thomas of Spencer . Three sons Wayne “Dino” Schnare, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Holden. Shawn Schnare and his wife Caitlyn of Worcester, and Dominic Schnare of Worcester; four grandchildren – Shawn Jr., Jayden, Gabriella and Roman and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Sandra, Mother Paula (Toupin) Schnare and his former wife, Kathryn (Gambaccini) Schnare – who he shared his three sons and 20 years of his life with.

Wayne was born in Worcester, son of David and Paula Schnare. He graduated from Burncoat High School and worked at his families business (LR Sales, Inc.) for many years, until later when he attained his CDL license and embarked on a career in that field. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed many Red Sox games with his Father and sons. He thoroughly enjoyed the “Brady Era” with the Patriots in particular. He had a real interest in older muscle cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and being active. He loved the “Summer Nationals” in Worcester and would partake in many of the functions surrounding it.

Even though he struggled with alcoholism throughout his life, he was kind hearted, honest and really wanted to do better every day. As with many, he just couldn’t break free from the struggles that consumed him. As his family, we choose to remember the great qualities he possessed and that is how he will live on in our hearts. There are countless memories of family trips to Cape Cod, Hawaii, Bahamas and Florida that we will remember enjoying with him. Two of his greatest blessings is his sister Renee and Father David who were diehard advocates for him and their unconditional love was so inherent. We find comfort in the fact that his soul is free and the struggles that he faced have been finally put to rest. Fly free, Dad.
