Ruby M. (Patterson) Davis, 85, of Northern Cambria, and formerly of Colver, PA, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Ray and Della Mae (Patterson) Patterson, she was born on July 24, 1934 in Cherry Tree, PA.
Ruby was the wife of the late Ellsworth “Eugene” “Pood” Davis.
Ruby loved to sit and read her Bible. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting. Her life centered around her family.
Ruby is survived by her ten children: Mary Wilshire of Indiana, PA; Ellsworth Eugene Patterson and girlfriend Elsie of Heilwood, PA; John Davis of Northern Cambria, PA; Lonnie Davis of Indiana, PA; David Davis and wife Dawn of Nanty-Glo, PA; Eleanor “Mae” Hauck and husband, James, Sr. of Johnstown, PA; William Davis and wife Paula of Northern Cambria, PA; Candice Wilshire and husband Richard of Cherry Tree, PA; Ray Davis and girlfriend Helen of Cherry Tree, PA and Lois Davis of Indiana, PA; thirty grandchildren and forty great grandchildren.
Ruby was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on September 20, 2008 and her son Robert Davis in 1982.
Due to the coronavirus guidelines, Ruby’s immediate family gathered for a time of private visitation followed by a funeral service at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Father Scott Lill officiated. Interment took place at the Citizens Cemetery in Cherry Tree, PA.
