Irene Amanda (Vallee) Goupil (82) of Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Bedford, NH and formerly 1024 Valley Street, Manchester, NH passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2020.
She was born on September 27, 1937 in Manchester, NH the daughter of George and Eva (Filteau) Vallee. She attended local schools.
She worked for over 20 years at Fuller Brush Company, retiring in 1999 and previously worked at Manchester Hosiery Corporation. She was a member of the Columbiettes and the Lady’s Guild of St. Anthony’s in addition to a number of other clubs.
She enjoyed spending time at their camp with her husband and son in upstate New Hampshire where they fished, hunted, and loved the outdoors. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her son Robert Y. Goupil (formerly of Manchester, NH) and his wife Katie Maguire of Hudson, MA. She also leaves one grandson, James Goupil of Manchester, NH and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Paul, who passed away in 2010. She is also predeceased by three sisters, Rita Vallee, Jeanette (Vallee) Guilbert and Clair (Vallee) Walsh and two brothers, Rosario Valle and Gerald Vallee.
A private family service took place at St. Augustin Cemetery on Thursday March 26, 2020 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
