Robert W. Bolton, 65
Longtime Mansfield Resident

Robert W. Bolton, 65, of North Smithfield, died on Wednesday February 8, 2006 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Janice (Parker) Bolton to whom he was married to on December 20, 1974 and the late Nancy (Annon) Bolton who died in 1972.
. He was born on December 12, 1940 in New York City, New York and was a dear son of the late Hubert and Nellie (Lambert) Bolton.
He was educated in New York schools and was a graduate of Central Islip High School. He was the owner of The New Boston Blackboard Co. for over 20 years before retiring. The company was formerly called New England Interior Specialties. After his retirement he still remained active in the company.
While living in Central Islip, N.Y. he was a volunteer firefighter and was a member of the fire department’s Hobo’s Racing Team. His passion in life was NASCAR Modified Racing. He proudly participated in all aspects of the sport and was a member of his son’s racing team, which races under the name of The C & J Racing Team. As a young man he enjoyed building model airplanes. He was a Boy Scout and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. When he became a father he taught the same values as a Cub Scout Leader. His family was a major factor in his life and he was always able to stay close with them by acting as their hockey coach, their baseball coach and attending horse shows with them.
A firm Constitutionalist he was a member of “We The People” www.givemeliberty.org. He had lived in North Smithfield for the past 3 years and was formerly of Mansfield for over 40 years. In addition to coaching sports in Mansfield, he was a member of the former Mansfield Jaycee’s.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children Robert C. Bolton and his wife Chris of Rumson, New Jersey, William M. Bolton and his wife Bernadette of Somers, Conn., Laurie A. McJennett and her husband Tony of Clinton Township, Michigan, Denise M. Bojorquez and her husband Paul of Attleboro, Joseph A. Bolton of North Attleboro and Sarah B. Furtado and her husband Joseph of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. His dear brothers and Sisters James Bolton of New York, William Bolton of New York, Evonne Richie of New York, Dorothy Ivarone of Foxboro, Joan Lindstrom of North Carolina and the late Ernest Bolton and Penny Bolton. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Mike, Erin, Jake, Chelsea, Amanda, Louie, Rachael and her brother Joshua, as well as stepgrandchildren and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday February 11th at 6:00 P.M. at The Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be also be held on Saturday prior to services from 2-6 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
