Myron Mitchell Fisher. Age 86. Husband of Gladys (Silverman) Fisher, his wife of 61 years. Residence 455 Brayton Ave., Somerset. Died Tuesday at Somerset Ridge Center. Born in Boston, MA. Son of the late Barney Fisher and the late Ida (Snyder) Fisher. He was a Fall River area resident for 52 years.
After graduating from High School, he attended Columbia University in NY. He was a graduate of the New England Institute of Embalming and Funeral Directors. Before retiring, he was a Funeral Director, Owner, and Founder of the Fisher Memorial Chapel in Fall River. He was a former Mason and a former member of Temple Beth El in Fall River. He was a member of the Massachusetts and the National Funeral Directors Association. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of WW II.
Besides his wife of Somerset, he is survived by One Son: Lloyd Fisher of Treasure Island, FL. One Daughter: Joanne Wightman of Swansea, MA. Two Brothers: Paul Fisher of Newton, MA and Irving Fisher of West Palm Beach, FL. One Sister: Frances Bergen of Stoughton, MA. One Grandson and Two Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews.
