Mary T. Lane, a Woburn resident for most of her life passed away peacefully, March 23, 2020, following a lengthy period of declining health. She was 92. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Lane, Jr. Born in Boston, Mary was one of five children of the late Eugene and Margaret (Morris) Schwamb.
Mary will fondly be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, knitting and also enjoyed attending bingo with her friends. However, Mary’s greatest joy was her family and nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved.
Mary is survived by her children; Mary S. Lane of Tyngsboro, Carol Lane and Robert Kendall of Lynn, Barbara Stone and her husband Doug of Littleton, Richard Lane of Leominster, Bernard Lane and his wife Tracy of Littleton. She was the loving Nana of Daniel and his wife Caroline, Michael, Christopher and his wife Rebecca, Sarah, Jacklyn, Theresa, Megan, and Julia. Sister of John Schwamb and his wife Ginny of Lowell, Jeannie Cash of Dunstable, the late Margaret Miller, Eugene Schwamb and his surviving wife Denise. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and in keeping with Federal and State guidelines, funeral services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
